Summer Lessons and Camps

Whether you are looking for individual instruction, group, or a combination of both. Scherzo Music Studio offers Piano, Voice, Guitar, Violin, Recorder, and/or Preschool Children lessons. With mornings, afternoon, and evening lessons, we are sure that we will find the right type and schedule for your kids.

Summer lessons and camp at Scherzo Music Studio are “a la carte” activities for children as young as 3.5 years old and up. The lessons start in the middle of June and continue throughout the end of August. Duration is flexible and varies depending on the activities. Make up are allowed throughout the summer. 1,  2 and 3 weeks programs. Students can choose from private, semi-private, group, or a combination.  mornings, afternoon, or evenings lessons. Music Discovery Lessons  -Ages 3.5 to 5 Years Old.

  • 1, 2 or 3 weeks Programs
  • 1 hr. per session
  • 2 to 5 students per group

Based on the Kodály concept, these lessons will focus on preparing kids for group or individual lessons on a instrument.

children will learn basic concepts of music starting with sound quality (Long-Short, High-Low, Soft-Loud), rhythmic patterns using quater, half and whole notes and beginning staff notation thru singing, games, body movement, ear training and age appropriate activities.

Music Discovery Lessons -Ages 5 and 6.5 Years Old.

  • 1, 2 or 3 weeks programs
  • 1.5 hr. per session
  • 2 to 5 students per group

These lessons will focus on preparing kids for group or individual instrumental lessons. Activities include singing, games, body movements and active listening. Students learn key concepts of music like sound quality, rhythmic patterns, staff notation, and beginning music reading.  Lessons include semi-private instruction on Piano and Recorder but can also be combined with  Violin, Voice or Ukulele.

Semi-Private Lessons -Ages 6 to 11

  • Ongoing enrollment
  • Piano, Violin, Guitar, Flute, Recorder or Choral Lessons
  • 2-3 students

30-minutes Small group lessons. Group lessons can be combined with Music Discovery Lessons

Individual Lessons -All Ages

  • Ongoing enrollment
  • Piano, Violin, Guitar, Flute, Recorder, Voice Lessons

Individual lessons of 30 minutes 2 or 3 times a week. Individual lessons can be combined with Music Music Discovery lessons.

Musicianship Workshops

  • 2 hrs per session
  • 2 and 3 weeks programs
  • can be combined with group or individual lessons.

Focused on one topic/subject and based on student’s level. These workshops are designed for students with previous knowledge of music. These lessons include Basic Composition, Theory, Musicianship, Harmony, and Music Appreciation.
